Staff and Student Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) Projects
Would you like to help shape how Brookes responds to the advent of Generative AI in your area of work or study?
If so, the ACT Fund special call: GenAI in Teaching, Learning and Assessment could be for you.
OCAED and CAD are inviting collaborative teams of staff and students to bid for one of six awards of £800 for projects that will build Generative AI Literacy and integrate an ‘embrace and adapt’ approach within Brookes.
Applicants are invited to bid for projects investigating the application of Generative AI to an aspect of the IDEAS curriculum framework in their own subject area.
Outline criteria
- Involve both staff and students in creative collaboration.
- Provide a clear rationale on what your project aims to achieve and why it is worth doing.
- Take an evidence-based approach to exploring AI in teaching and learning, with clear methods and evaluation processes in place.
- Build local GenAI Literacy
- Align with the IDEAS curriculum model
- Produce a teaching and learning artefact that can be shared with others
- Explain your use of partnership
- Show commitment to peer review
- Outline ethics and expenditure
Eligibility
We welcome applications from colleagues at all career stages, from all academic departments, and anyone working within the directorates as well as students studying at all levels. Applicants do not need to have any prior expertise in the use of Generative AI.
Please note that to be eligible at least one member of the project team must hold Advance HE professional teaching recognition, either Associate, Fellow, Senior Fellow or Principal Fellow.
