A diverse array of events, activities, and festivals are provided by researchers, academics, professional support colleagues, and students. Additionally, this program offers online resources, such as podcasts, teaching materials, and short films.
The ultimate goal of these endeavors is to engage with the public in a mutually beneficial two-way process, communicating the work of Oxford Brookes University to a wider audience. By inspiring, informing, listening, and discussing together, we hope to shape the futures of our local and regional communities, as well as our University.
Professor Linda King, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research and Global Partnerships, leads the Public Engagement Network (PEN), which coordinates public engagement efforts centrally. PEN serves as a central hub for public engagement, working with the public to improve and guide our program, while also offering support and encouragement to staff to integrate public engagement efforts into all areas.
The Public Engagement Network (PEN) offers a range of support for staff interested in public engagement including small grants, central and external training, awards and guidance.
