Anup Mysoor was appointed an Independent Governor in May 2021.
Anup Mysoor is a member of Oxfam’s Board for Enterprise Development, providing social impact capital to entrepreneurs to build businesses where one of the primary objectives is women's economic empowerment. He founded the Pink Rainbow Scholarships for underprivileged women and LGBTQ+ candidates from India to attend advanced programmes at world-class universities. Anup is a Governor at Rye St Antony, an independent school for children aged 3 to 18 in Headington, Oxford.
Anup was a Managing Partner at Doric, an alternative investment manager with assets under management of $9Bn. He co-founded Ishka, an aviation services start-up based in London. Anup was with Citibank for 21 years in London and Hong Kong as Managing Director and Asia Head of Aviation, Power & Utilities investment banking. He started his career in 1990 in the M&A team of an infrastructure company.
Anup has a BCom from the University of Mysore (India), an MSc in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling (Scotland), and an MBA from Manchester Business School (England), where he also used to be a Visiting Fellow.
Anup and his wife, Poorna, are feminists, who both changed their surnames to Mysoor after they got married in 2001. Poorna is fellow at Queen's College and the Faculty Law at the University of Oxford. They live in central Oxford.
