About the course

Understanding sustainability is increasingly important for organisations and their stakeholders. Gaining deeper insights into sustainability issues in your business will enhance your ability to create opportunities, manage risks, and contribute to 'business for good'.

This ‘Improving your sustainability’ course will cover:

  • what we mean by sustainability
  • who is interested in what businesses do relating to sustainability
  • what businesses can do and how they can measure progress.

By networking and sharing expertise with other local organisations, you will gain a clear understanding of your current position and identify potential value-creating opportunities.

This course is available as an in-house or open course.

Course dates and cost

This one-day course costs £250 and takes place on 2 June 2025.

Learning

This practically-focused workshop will enable you to: 

  • Grasp what we mean by sustainability
  • Learn more about business models for sustainability and identify what they mean for your organisation 
  • Map out environmental and social impacts as they relate to your organisation, using the Sustainable Development Goals as a guiding framework 
  • Understand what businesses can do to rewire business approaches and to integrate sustainability
  • Develop priorities and an action plan for sustainability in your organisation.
