Graduate College supervisor training
Graduate College training programme for supervisors offered by the Research Degrees Team. Introduction to Mark Entry and Examination Committee Processes
A training course is available in Staff Learning for all members of staff to access. This online training covers all of the information needed for those who will Chair or be Secretary to Undergraduate or Postgraduate Exam Committees, as well as Module Leaders for mark entry.
Please email studentrecords@brookes.ac.uk if you would like to arrange a one to one session to discuss the University regulations, and how they are applied in an exam committee setting.
Managing Examination Committees
Aimed at those new to chairing, and servicing, non-UMP exam committees, this session will cover:
- purpose of examination committees, terms of reference, accountability and membership, including role of external examiners;
- award paperwork;
- PGT regulations and timetable;
- common issues arising in relation to collaborative partners’ exam committees.

AFR credit entry training
The Programme Support Team offer training for Subject Co-ordinators who are responsible for processing Undergraduate credit entry applications. We can offer guidance in completing the M103 form and also advice and guidance on the Admission with Credit regulations. Sessions can be arranged on a one-to-one basis.
