Oxford Brookes University has partnered with the Cowrie Scholarship Foundation (CSF) to support three students as part of the Foundation's broader mission to increase higher education access for 100 Black British students over the next decade.
The award
- Oxford Brookes and the CSF will be supporting three disadvantaged students of Black African or Caribbean heritage throughout their undergraduate study.
- The scholarship covers the full cost of UK tuition fees as well as a maintenance stipend of £8,000 for each year of the student’s course. The maintenance stipend consists of a £2,000 per annum bursary from Oxford Brookes and an award of £6,000 per annum from CSF. This is to support living costs such as accommodation and food.
- The scholarship is awarded to UK undergraduate applicants and the first will be awarded to a student with a confirmed offer to commence study in September 2023.
- This scholarship is expected to be available for academic years 2026/7 and 2029/30; please check back in September 2025 to complete the application form.
