You can complete this list before you enrol as a student. Enrolment is the process all students need to complete in order to become an official Oxford Brookes University student. Your enrolment will open from Monday 2 September 2024 and is completed online. Visit the online enrolment page for more information.

Accommodation, rent and your packing list

If you would like University accommodation and you haven't already applied, please contact the Accommodation Team as soon as possible.

Advice and support for disabled students and dyslexic/SpLD students

The Inclusive Support Service includes a range of specialist advice and support available to disabled and dyslexic/SpLD students and students with long-term physical and mental health conditions.

Think about your computer requirements

If you are buying a new computer for university, think carefully first and take the time to consider what might be most appropriate for your needs.
It might be worth checking with your department to see what software will be used and whether your operating system will run it.

Online pre-arrival events for all new students

All new students joining us in September 2024 are welcome to attend our online pre-arrival events. We will be running a series of webinars from June to September to help you feel prepared for university life with Oxford Brookes. This is a great opportunity to get some advice and top tips from current Oxford Brookes students and staff.
The International Student Advice Team (ISAT) will be running specific sessions to help international students prepare for their arrival in the UK.
The Centre for Academic Development will also be running some useful induction workshops to help you feel prepared for the transition to life at university.

Get to know your Students' Union communities

Our student networks are student-led groups, representing students from underrepresented communities. Networks are social spaces for students to come together, build connections, and help create the change you want to see at Oxford Brookes. Your course induction

Most students will join the main Induction Week from Monday 16 to Friday 20 September 2024.
All induction schedules are now live and available to view on the your course induction page.
Some courses have an earlier or later induction. Make sure you check which courses start their inductions early or late to ensure you are ready to start on the correct day for your course.

Oxford is generally a safe place, but if you’re going out at night make sure to remain aware of your surroundings and take care of each other.
