Wheatley Campus parking

Changes to parking on Wheatley Campus from 1 September 2024.

The Wheatley Campus site will no longer be leased to Oxford Brookes University from the 31 October 2024. The small number of staff mainly based at Wheatley during this interim period of 1 September 2024 and 31 October 2024 will not require a permit or be required to pay daily car parking charges at the site.

Harcourt Hill Campus Park & Ride Scheme

The Wheatley Campus Park & Ride intersite pass holders will no longer be valid from 1 September 2024. The Harcourt Hill Campus Park & Ride Scheme will remain open. Any staff who apply for a permit at one of the University’s Oxford-based sites but are unsuccessful will still be able to apply for the Harcourt Hill Campus Park & Ride Scheme at a later stage.

See Harcourt Hill Campus parking for more information about the Harcourt Hill Campus Park & Ride Scheme.

BROOKESbus service

The BROOKESbus service will terminate at Thornhill Park & Ride from 1 July 2024.

A commercial service will continue to operate between Wheatley and Oxford through a combination of a new service 280 (operated by Oxford Bus Company) and the existing 400. This will give a frequency of:

  • up to every 15 minutes, Monday to Friday
  • every 30 minutes on Saturdays (with service 280)
  • every 30 minutes on Sundays (with service 400).

For more information on services, please visit the Oxford Bus Company website

Staff who have Wheatley intersite passes and still require access to the site post 1 July 2024 can use their passes until 1 September 2024 at no charge. This includes colleagues using the Wheatley Campus Park & Ride scheme which will remain in operation until 1 September 2024.  Please be aware that the new bus service will no longer stop at our Wheatley Campus, but on the Ambrose Hill / London Road bus stop (0.7 mile or an approximately 15 minute walk from the campus).
