The International Student Advice Team (ISAT) organises events and day trips to help you make the most of your time in Oxford and discover other places of interest in the UK.

Below you will find information on all of our events and activities going on throughout the semester. We recommend checking back from time to time as we may add new activities throughout the semester. You'll also find information on our Guided Tours, these are the best way to discover the UK in a day trip - check them out!

Social events

Cream Tea & Crafts - Tuesday 7 November

When: Tuesday 7 November 2024 at 17.00 - 19.00

Where: Headington Campus

Price: £3

Booking: Booking required. Tickets can be booked via the online shop.

Join us for a British 'Cream Tea' and get creative with a choice of fun crafts! It's a great opportunity to socialise, make friends and get creative with other international students while having some tea and scones with jam and cream!

Christmas at Blenheim Palace - Thursday 28 November

When: Thursday 28 November 2024 17.00 to 21.30

Where: Blenheim Palace, Oxford

Price: £20 (this includes return travel from Headington Campus, entry into the Light Trail and Christmas Market/Gift shop).

Booking: Booking required. Tickets will be available via the online shop.

ISAT and Brookes Residences are teaming up to take you on a festive trip to 'Christmas at Blenheim'. Your discounted ticket will include return coach travel from Headington Campus to Blenheim Palace, entry to the Illuminated Light Trail as well as the Christmas Market and Gift shop.

ISAT Christmas Party - Thursday 5 December

Where: Oxford City Centre

Price: £20 (this includes a full 3 course meal)

Our Christmas Party returns! Let’s celebrate Christmas together! Join ISAT at an old English pub in the city centre for a 3 course Christmas meal, learn about British Christmas traditions and share an unforgettable experience with other international students!

Day trips

These trips are organised by ISAT and our favourite tour guide Rob Tanner. ISAT manages bookings/website/online shop and student enquiries. Rob leads the tours on the day.

Trip to Cambridge - Saturday 9 November

When: Saturday 9 November 2024

Departure point: Gipsy Lane bus Stop B6 (inside the campus)

Departure time: 08:45

Booking: Booking required. Please visit our online shop, tickets will be available from 9 September 2024.

Visit the famous university city of Cambridge. After the 1-hour walking tour, you’ll have a free afternoon to explore the city. Ideas how to spend your free time in Cambridge include: Trinity College, King’s College, Fitzwilliam Museum, The Backs, the Round Church.

The exact schedule will be confirmed by Rob on the day.
