International Student Advice Team (ISAT) have organised some events and workshops to help you to settle into life in the UK and at Oxford Brookes University. Arrivals activities are organised during Induction Week (16 - 20 September 2024) and we will update this page regularly.

Location: Piazza, next to Lloyds Building/Oxford Brookes bus stop, Headington Campus
We know that new students find it difficult to navigate places on their own, as soon as they arrive! The International Student Advice Team has therefore organised a Meet and Greet Service to help you to get to your Brookes Accommodation.
There will be a meeting point just outside the Headington campus, next to the Lloyds Building/bus stop (see photo of the location) that you can come to once you arrive at the Airline bus stop, to take transport (via a minibus) to your Brookes accommodation. The halls served by our minibus are the following ones only:
Students wishing to go to Cheney Village will be accompanied (on foot) by one of our International Student Helpers, as this hall is 10 min walk from the Meet and Greet location.
The Meet and Greet Service will be available from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Friday (13 September 2024), Saturday (14 September 2024) and Sunday (15 September 2024).
Don't hesitate to come to our Meet and Greet service if you need help with reaching out to your accommodation, our team will be able to advise you.

Come and see us to join one of our free tours, learn about our events, pick up a SIM card, or just to have a chat.

Join us for a tour of the city centre to explore Oxford, find out information about shops and points of interest and to make friends. Tours will last approximately 1 hour.

Join this guided walking tour of London to discover some of the most famous landmarks of the UK's capital city! Our tour guide Rob will share some fascinating stories with you, and tell you about London's history as you walk past: Buckingham Palace, St James’ Park, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Whitehall, Downing Street, Horse Guards parade, Trafalgar Square and South Bank.
Schedule: The exact schedule will be confirmed by Rob on the day. Students who wish to stay in London can check our Things to do in London page for suggestions of things to do after the tour.
Transport: Please note that you need to organise and pay for your own transport to and from London. We recommend that you book an early coach or train, as there may be delays during your journey. If you have a lot of spare time in London before the start of the tour, you can grab a coffee or go for a wander around the area.
