The following information applies to exchange or Erasmus students, students returning from temporary withdrawal, students with unconfirmed placements or funding, or students moving from Foundation years to Stage I.
Exchange or Erasmus students
If you're coming to Brookes on an exchange or study abroad programme, you must register your modules by the end of your enrolment week (Week 0). Please see advice for registering for modules on our New Students website.
Returning from temporary withdrawal
If you are a student returning from temporary withdrawal or your funding wasn’t confirmed for the upcoming year, you can register your modules in Week -2, -1 and Week 0 of your commencing academic year.
Students with unconfirmed placement
If you expect to undertake a full-time placement in your next academic year, you should only register for your placement during the module registration window, even if it is unconfirmed. You should not register modules and a full-time placement for the same academic year.
If you are taking a combination of modules and a part-time placement during your next academic year, only then should you register for both - modules and a placement - during the module registration window.
If your search for a placement is unsuccessful, you will have an opportunity to register the modules that you would like to take instead of the placement during the June and July amendment periods or, as a last opportunity, during Week -2, -1 and Week 0 of your commencing academic year.
Students transitioning from Foundation years to Stage I
If you are a student moving from Foundation years to Stage I of your Undergraduate degree, you can register your modules in Week -2, -1 and Week 0 of your commencing academic year.
Students with approved subject changes in January will be able to register their modules for the new programme of study during the January registration window.
