In recognition of our commitment to the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, Oxford Brookes University has held the European Commission’s HR Excellence in Research Award since 2012.
In order to achieve the award, we undertook a careful gap analysis, mapped against the principles of the Concordat, and developed a detailed action plan going forward. This has been carefully reviewed, revised and ratified every 2 years, and our researchers’ views have been taken into consideration at every stage. Our original 2012 submission, and our subsequent supporting statements and action plans, which were subject to external evaluation and benchmarking, can be viewed below.
Achievement of the HR Excellence in Research Award recognises the University’s commitment to supporting the personal, professional and career development of its researchers and acknowledges its alignment with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for their Recruitment.
