Supportive spaces for startups

Email us: enterprisecentre@brookes.ac.uk

We are here to support startup and early stage companies with their lab, office, and co-working space requirements, with the added value of access to academic expertise, student and graduate talent, and specialist facilities.

Oxford Brookes Enterprise Centre supports companies in the areas of:

  • health and life sciences
  • digital technologies
  • other related sectors.

Located on Oxford Brookes University's Headington Campus, alongside the Bioinnovation Hub laboratories, we offer private offices and co-working desks, plus flexible meeting areas and social spaces. In the Bioinnovation Hub, we offer shared use of well-equipped CL2 labs and access to specialist equipment and support.

What our users say about us

“The Oxford Brookes University Bioinnovation Hub (BIH) is the ideal place to set up operations with your fledgling spin-out company. Recently refurbished labs offer some excellent facilities with accompanying support from the BIH team. There is a convivial atmosphere between company personnel that makes for a highly pleasant working environment. Access to other university facilities (social and sporting) complete the package. I highly recommend it!”

Prof Bob Possee, CEO, Oxford Expression Technologies

“The Enterprise Centre and Bioinnovation Hub have been a fantastic and flexible base for us to start and then scale rapidly in. The support and knowledge of the team here and access to the university where we have given lectures, partnered with academics on research and recruited researchers is a real advantage too.”

Ben Wilding, CEO, Sun Bear Biofuture

““The Bioinnovation Hub really helped us massively when we were looking to start a small lab in the Oxford area. The central location and the facilities were ideal for us, and because of the large amount of shared equipment, plus the proximity to Brookes academic labs and neighbouring small companies, we were able to make a fast start without having to have a long period of setting up and investing. This was ideal for a small biotech in its early phase. The Bioinnovation Hub has allowed us to go from strength to strength.””

Peter Hamley, CSO, Samsara Therapeutics
