Brookes Active Ambassadors

Our ambassadors are here to bridge the gap between us and you, ensuring everyone can engage in physical activity in an inclusive and supportive way. They help to identify and resolve barriers to participation, making your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Whether you’re a student, staff member, or part of the wider community, our ambassadors provide support, answer your questions, listen to your feedback and guide us on how we can improve.

If you need assistance, have questions, or want to share your thoughts, email us at brookesactive@brookes.ac.uk and we’ll connect you with one of our friendly ambassadors.

Together, we’re committed to making physical activity accessible, enjoyable and rewarding for everyone in our community.

Georg Herdt

Georg Herdt is an accomplished athlete and advocate for resilience, living with the rare genetic condition Friedreich's Ataxia (FRDA). Born in 1980 into a rowing family, Georg excelled as a national rowing champion and even served as a paratrooper in Germany before FRDA began impacting his mobility in his 30s.
