If you are applying to a course which involves working with children or vulnerable adults, such as teacher training, nursing, physiotherapy or social work, you cannot be admitted to the course until you have satisfied a number of non-academic conditions. These include a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure and satisfactory disclosure under the Criminal Offenders Act.
A full list of the non-academic conditions you will be required to satisfy will be included when you receive an offer of a place, along with a detailed guide on what you need to do to meet these conditions. Please note that there will be a deadline by which you need to meet non-academic conditions, which will also be mentioned in your offer of a place.
