Foundation courses

All foundation courses require a high school diploma, leaving certificate or equivalent. For further detailed requirements see specific course entries.

English language qualifications range from IELTS 5.0 to 6.5. If you don't have IELTS, then consider enrolling on one of our Academic English courses

Higher National Diplomas (HND)

Minimum entry requirements are 1 subject at A-level or 6-unit Vocational A-level (or exceptionally two at AS-level or 3-unit Vocational A-level) with 3 or 4 at GCSE, or O-level, or National Certificate or Diploma.

In addition, each HND may have particular subject requirements. The full-time course lasts 2 years, and the sandwich course lasts 3 years.

Holders of suitable HNDs are often accepted into the second year of a degree course.
