On the competitive side #TEAMBrookes has a huge range of sports clubs you can join. Wednesdays are the sporting highlight of the week – teams travel across the country and host fixtures across Oxford as part of British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competition.
Music, art and literature all play an important in part in the lives of our students, both on and off campus. You could perform in a band or classical ensemble, direct or star in a play or film, visit one of Oxford’s world famous museums and galleries for inspiration or enjoy a renowned author’s talk while volunteering at the famous literary festival.
Student Societies
Brookes Union helps you get the most from your time as a student. Joining a society or club is a great way of making new friends, meeting people with a common interest and pursuing a passion. We have over 100 societies you can join: from hobbies, culture, and politics, to music and courses, there are many societies to choose from. And if you have an idea for a society, the Union will support you to get started.
Our International Student Advice Team (ISAT) also organises social events for international students during Arrivals week and throughout the year to enhance your student experience at Brookes.
