Overview

This scholarship is open to those who have support from the three-year annual leave scheme for doctoral studies offered by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. It covers studies in the areas of Politics and International Studies. One scholarship per year will be available

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  • Have support from the three-year annual leave scheme for doctoral studies offered by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research
  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer from the University (once the application process has taken place and the successful applicant is made an offer)
  • Enrol in September 2023 as a new full-time research student on reduced international fees.

Eligibility criteria

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

Applicants must:

  1. Have support from the three-year annual leave scheme for doctoral studies offered by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research.
  2. Plan to carry out a research project in the area of Politics and/or International Relations

Application process

Please apply to hss-researchdegrees@brookes.ac.uk with “PO/IR Scholarship” in the subject heading.  Please include the following documents in your application:

  • Research proposal
  • Copies of academic certificates (translated into English)
  • Evidence of funding, eg Sponsor letter
  • Two academic references
  • Scan of appropriate page of passport
  • An IELTS certificate of 6.5 in each category, or equivalent English language qualification.  

The deadline for applications is 12pm, Monday 20 March.

Terms and conditions

Applicants must be new, full-time, international students commencing a full 3-year postgraduate degree. 

The scholarship will only be available to students commencing a degree in September 2023.

The scholarship scheme applies to the full time MPhil/PhD in Politics and International Relations only.

Students are not able to claim this scholarship in conjunction with any other funding offered by Oxford Brookes.
