Apply for a Double Honours Degree with Business Management

If you’re a final-year undergraduate student expecting to finish this summer, you can apply to stay on for an extra year of study with Oxford Brookes Business School and graduate with a Double Honours Degree.

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your degree, build business and management knowledge, and boost your employability before you enter the world of work or consider further study.
 

Who is this for?

This option is designed for undergraduate students who:

• Want to extend their learning into business and management to complement and enhance their existing degree.
• Want to feel confident that they have the core business knowledge and skills sought in the job market.
• Would like to strengthen their employability and career readiness.
• Are not ready to progress directly into a master’s degree but want structured preparation for work or future study.
• Find a fourth year of undergraduate funding more manageable through the UK student loan system.
   

What are the benefits?

This additional study will increase your confidence, employability and understanding of business contexts ahead of graduation and future career steps.

What will the additional year involve?

Adding a fourth year allows you to study targeted modules in business and management designed to build practical and theoretical skills. Subjects include strategic management, responsible marketing management, entrepreneurial thinking, sustainable business approaches and career management strategies. At the end of this year, you will graduate with your original subject plus Business Management.

How do I express interest?

 

Simply complete the Google Form to express your interest in the Double Honours Degree with Business Management. We will contact you with further information by the end of January. Completing the form does not commit you to taking part, and you can change your mind at any point.
 

Am I eligible?

To be eligible you must:

• be on a programme that has no professional or regulatory body restrictions preventing registration on the Double Honours Degree programme (we will follow up to discuss this with you)
• be on track to achieve a 2.2 or above on your current programme of study
• not already hold an undergraduate degree
• be on an undergraduate programme outside Oxford Brookes Business School.

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fees and funding

Fees will be set in line with UK government guidelines on undergraduate fees and inflation. Provided you have not already used your full entitlement to undergraduate funding, and you plan to graduate at the end of the additional year, you may be eligible for a student loan to cover this study. There may be some restrictions for programmes with professional or regulatory body requirements, and we will answer any funding questions when we follow up on your expression of interest.
