Oxford Brookes is the Data Controller of any personal data that you supply. We use this to help run the exams, improve provision under the Equality Act and host exams for other institutions.
Legal basis: in consenting to provide data (eg ethnicity, religious belief, trade union membership), you enable us to establish a contract or maintain an existing one with you. This may be used to assess, diagnose, administrate and offer services for workplace health and wellbeing services.

What types of personal data will you use?
Religious Belief – used to timetable examinations or change examination dates to permit students to meet their religious obligations.
Health/Disability/Specific Learning Difficulty – used to make suitable arrangements for examinations meeting Equality Act obligations.
Criminal Record – Ensure students who have any conditions imposed are accommodated.
Who will you share the data with?
For Host examination candidates, we will share their data with the other institution.
For Oxford Brookes students take examinations offsite, we will share their data with the centre hosting the examination.
Will you transfer my data outside of the UK?
Data will only be sent out of the country when an examination is being arranged with an overseas host centre or institution in order to enable that examination to be arranged.
What rights do I have regarding my personal data that you hold?

Where did you source my data from?
Data is obtained directly from the data subject.
Data about host exam students may be provided privately by the institution to the Exams Team.
Are there any consequences of not providing the requested data?
If insufficient data is provided, this may affect the administration and organisation of your examinations and could result in a fail for the exam.
Will there be any automated decision making using my data?
No.
How long will you keep my data?
Host Exam Candidates: 1 year after last exam
Oxford Brookes Students: 3 years after leaving Oxford Brookes
