Oxford Brookes University has signed up to Disability Confident, a government sponsored scheme, and is committed to taking positive steps to attract, recruit, retain and develop disabled people and those with health conditions.
Someone is disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if they have a physical or mental impairment that has a “substantial” and “long-term” adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
