The end project report is completed for presentation to the project board for approval. The final assessment of financial costs is completed, any outstanding issues with recommended action is noted with handover date to identified business owner. The lessons learned exercise is carried out now with the core project team and key stakeholders.
The project manager (PM) must ensure all products / project deliverables are complete and signed off by the business, confirming they meet quality acceptance criteria. Results of user acceptance testing (UAT) should be reported, along with feedback to demonstrate that any training activity has delivered expected outcomes - i.e. the business are confident they have the knowledge and skills to manage the products.
Approval by the project board will inform the PM to handover the project to the appointed business owner. The core project team will now be stood down, including the PM.
The Oxford Brookes projects register will be updated and lessons learned added to the library to support future projects at the University.
