Funding for Urban Community Gardens research

Maryam Mani (Principle Investigator), Reza Shirazi (Co-Investigator) and Supriya Akerkar (Co-Investigator) have been awarded the BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grant for their research project entitled: The Contribution of Urban Community Gardens to Inclusive and Sustainable Local Environments. The project provides empirical data about the ethnic bridging capacity of Urban Community Gardens (UCGs) and investigates barriers and motivations of ethnic communities’ engagements.
