Year 12 Subject Workshops

About subject workshops

Subject workshops are delivered in school by current Oxford Brookes University students. These students can provide your class with insight into what it’s like to study at Oxford Brookes, along with engaging subject content that provides a sneak peak of university level study.

Each workshop is roughly 1 hour long and covers one area of potential university study that will build upon students’ existing curriculum knowledge while also generating interest and excitement about what it would be like to study this subject at degree level.

Delivery

Students in a classroom

Workshops have been designed in conjunction with academics from Oxford Brookes and specially adapted so that they are accessible to year 12 students thinking about higher education. We’ll also provide you with some follow on and extension material to keep students engaged beyond our time with your class.

University students that deliver these workshops are DBS cleared and trained in safeguarding and workshop delivery. We ask that class teachers are always present during workshops.
