What to do if you will be arriving in Oxford after Induction Week
We understand that some students may not be able to arrive in Oxford in time for Induction Week. If you will be arriving late, please follow the steps on this page. If you need any help, the Student Induction Team will be happy to advise you.
Please note that all students need to be fully enrolled and ready to study by the enrolment deadlines:
Full-time students: Friday 4 October 2024
If you haven't already enrolled as a student, please do so as soon as you can. Enrolling will give you access to other systems such as your University email and calendar, online study platforms like Moodle, and Eduroam WiFi.
About an hour after you enrol, you will be able to sign in to your email and calendar. Please note it might take a couple of days for your timetable to be visible. If you can't see your timetable yet, your course team can advise where to go.
If you are not a UK national, you will need to complete Right to Study checks. You can read about how to complete these checks on the Right to Study page.
You will need to let your course team know you have arrived. You can find their contact details at the bottom of your course's induction schedule. If you need any help, please ask the Student Induction Team and we will assist.
If you are an international student and you need to open a bank account, you will need an attendance letter to prove that you are a student. You can request this letter once your enrolment and Right to Study checks are complete.
Once you have enrolled, a student ID card will be made for you. This usually takes about a week. We will email you when it is ready to collect. Please don't come to collect your card until you receive this email.

During Induction Week (Monday 16 - Friday 20 September), most courses had introductory activities to help students get ready to study. Your course team will be able to advise you about catching up on anything you have missed.
You might want to check your Oxford Brookes emails to see if your course team have already contacted you directly. If they haven't, don't worry - their contact details are available on your course's induction schedule or you can ask the Student Induction Team for the information.
