Key dates for induction and enrolment

Enrolment is the process all students need to complete in order to become an official Oxford Brookes University student.

For most students online enrolment will open from Tuesday 7 January, provided you have an unconditional offer. Please keep an eye on your emails from Oxford Brookes which will notify when you are eligible to enrol.

Students must complete enrolment by the following deadlines:
  • Full-time students: Friday 7 February 2025
  • Part-time students: Friday 14 February 2025

Alternative entry points

Some courses, such as the MBA and those taking place at GBS, have different entry points to the main January and September cohorts. If you are joining a course like this, you may therefore be given a different deadline by which to enrol. If you have received your invitation to enrol, please follow the steps on this page to get started.

Step 1: User ID and password

You will need your User ID and password to complete online enrolment. Your User ID is your student number. When your enrolment is open, you will receive two emails:

  • one with your User ID (student number)
  • one with a link you will need to use to create your password. This can take up to 24 hours to arrive after your User ID email.

Please note that the link in the second email only lasts for 48 hours, but you can request a new one if yours expires.

We will continue to send emails in batches as more students become unconditional. Please check the emails have not gone into your spam folder. If you are having issues with your online enrolment, please see the FAQ section below for help and advice.

Continuing students also have to enrol. If you are a continuing student, you will be notified via email when enrolment is open for you. You can use your pre-existing details (student number/User ID and password) to login to your Student Information portal and complete your enrolment.

Step 2: Online enrolment

Once you have access to your User ID (student number) and password, you can start your online enrolment in the Student Information portal.

If you encounter a technical issue whilst completing online enrolment please make sure you are following the troubleshooting tips below:

  • Don't use Autocomplete to fill the fields, instead input all information individually
  • Complete online enrolment using Google Chrome from a Windows desktop device (not a phone)
  • Make sure your browser language is set to UK English
  • Try clearing your cache to see if this resolves the problem
These steps should resolve most glitches; you may need to clear your browsing data first before trying again to enrol. If not, please contact the Online Enrolment Team.

Important: You can pay your fees after you complete your enrolment. Please go to the ‘My Accounts’ section of your Student Information where you can pay by credit or debit card. The deadline for paying your fees is 27 January 2025.

Step 3: Right to Study checks

If you are not a UK national, you will also need to complete your Right to Study checks to be fully enrolled.
