Welcome Weekend

Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2024

Whether you will be moving into halls, commuting or living in Oxford, there will be welcome events and support services available at the Headington Campus. The weekend offers a good opportunity to get to know other students, prepare for Induction Week and find out more about what Oxford Brookes University has to offer.

The Student Induction Team will be available on campus and remotely to offer support and advice.

Will you be living in a University hall of residence? Check the Accommodation page on moving in for more information on arriving, parking and collecting your keys, plus who to contact if you have any questions.

Some halls of residence and Oxford Brookes houses have contracts which start earlier than Welcome Weekend. You can choose the move-in date which works for you as long as it falls within your contract.

 Road closure

A portion of Botley Road will be closed until autumn 2024, impacting the 400/U1 bus route. For the latest updates, please check regularly with the Oxford Bus Company.

On Sunday 15 September ISAT will be hosting an introductory session for all international undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Global Engagement Team will also be a welcome session for all Exchange and Study Abroad studentsWe recommend that Exchange and Study Abroad students attend both.

Make sure to check the events calendar on Wednesday 14 August for full details of both events.

Meet and greet service

We know that new students find it difficult to navigate places on their own, as soon as they arrive! The International Student Advice Team has therefore organised a Meet and Greet Service to help you to get to your Brookes Accommodation. There will be a meeting point just outside the Headington campus, that you can come to once you arrive at the Airline bus stop, to take transport to your accommodation. We are looking forward to welcoming you!
