We are proud to have established on-going collaboration and strong links with local Oxfordshire primary and secondary schools to promote Chinese language and culture learning to develop their new Chinese curriculum or enhance an existing one.
Didcot Girls’ School has firmly embedded Mandarin Chinese into their curriculum to students in Year 7-13 for more than 10 years. In 2018, they were formally recognised as a Linked Teaching School with our Confucius Institute and are working to establish a Confucius Classroom status. Students in Key Stage 3 study Mandarin Chinese as part of a language rotation and have the option to pursue it further in Years 9-11 as a GCSE subject and Pre-U (A-level equivalent) in Years 12-13.
