Hockey

Hockey is one of the most popular sports at Oxford Brookes University, offering opportunities to compete at all levels of the performance pyramid.

The Oxford Brookes Hockey Club features three Men's and three Women's teams that compete weekly on Wednesdays from mid-October to the end of March in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Leagues.

Our Men's and Women's 1st Teams both compete in the Premier Tiers of the BUCS Leagues and are recognised as two of our Performance Teams

For those seeking a more social experience, we offer the Intramural Campus League, a friendly 6-a-side league that takes place on Sunday afternoons.

Additionally, we have a partnership with Oxford Hockey Club, providing further playing opportunities for our student-athletes.

“For me, Brookes hockey has made my University experience. The hockey is competitive and the club is one big family. I am proud to say that everyone who is a part of it has enjoyed their time in the OBUHC family, and I hope to keep it that way. The socials are great too.”

Will Ash, President 2018/19
