Brookes Society

Brookes Society provides ways for former Oxford Brookes members of staff to meet up.

What is Brookes Society?

Brookes Society provides ways for former staff to meet up, including at our annual Summer party hosted by the Vice-Chancellor. Other events and opportunities are held throughout the year.

Membership is open to all retired Brookes staff and we currently have around 80 members. We hope you will join us, enjoy the social activities and events on offer, meet up with old friends and make new ones. You will also have access to many of the same benefits enjoyed by our alumni.

Society activities

As well as the annual party, events in recent years have included:

  • visits to the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies
  • visits to the Bothy vineyard
  • visits to Christchurch Gallery
  • visits to Ardley Energy Reusing Facility
  • walking tours of the Oxford and London riversides
  • the history of penicillin development in Oxford.

New events and social activities are organised frequently.
