“I joined the School of Education in 1990 supporting the Lecturing staff of the 4 year BEd degree course, plus supporting Cert Ed students and staff.

“When the School of Education moved to Harcourt Hill campus in 2000 I supported 2 Deputy Heads of Department until a permanent post became available. This happened when I was given the opportunity to support The British Arts Council Research project and entailed keeping regular contact with people from Scotland to Cornwall, plus organising conferences in London.

“I retired from Oxford Brookes in 2010, then for several years I supported and encouraged children with their reading skills in Wheatley Primary School.”

"I joined what was Oxford Polytechnic, Business School in January 1988.  I was in the Business School for 20 years with a secondment to APQU for a brief period during that time.  I then moved to the School of Health and Social Care (now the Faculty of Health and Life Science) and was in that Faculty until I retired in October 2022."

“I started working as a Senior Lecturer in Children’s Nursing in 1989, when the first nursing degrees were being developed at Brookes (then Oxford Polytechnic). I continued working at Brookes in nursing education, most recently as Subject Coordinator for the MSc in Children’s Nursing. I retired in 2018.”

“I joined the School of Education as a Senior Lecturer during its Oxford Polytechnic days, based at the Wheatley site until the School merged with Westminster College of Education in 2000 and we all moved to the leafy groves of Harcourt Hill.

“I was a Course Leader for undergraduate Education Studies, then the MA in Education for home students and then for the MA in Education for International Schools, becoming a Principal Lecturer in Education, with a responsibility for international students.

“I became the Research Ethics Officer for firstly the SoE and then for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, working with colleagues from across the University. I retired in 2018 and have valued the experience of being part of the academic community at Brookes.” 

“My long-time employment in Brookes was since 1988 with the Computer Services then Learning Resources in the Project Leader position and finally as Project Manager. My main responsibilities were the Graphics/CAD and Media developments. In 2001 the Graphics Workshop was opened with the aim of multi-school resource, which was my brainchild.

“In parallel, I worked for many years as a part-time lecturer in the School of Computing. Before coming to Oxford, I worked with the Silesian Technical University in Poland as an Assistant Professor for eleven years and then four years with Oxford University as a Computing Officer and researcher. I retired from Brookes in 2012.”
