Oxford Brookes University is world leading in 23 subject areas

Oxford Brookes University is a global leader in 23 subject areas, according to new rankings.

In the 2025 QS World University Rankings by Subject, Oxford Brookes is ranked in 23 subject areas - two more than in 2024.

The University’s best performing subject area is Hospitality & Leisure Management, which is ranked 21st globally and second in the UK. Both Business & Management Studies and Marketing are ranked in the top 100, with the former moving up 16 places. 

Marketing and Medicine (which includes Medical Science) are the two new subject areas in this year’s rankings compared to 2024. 

The rankings are published annually, this year evaluating 1,747 institutions across 55 subject areas.
