All researchers need to get to grips with presenting their research orally – that is, giving a research presentation or talk. In this session, we consider the mistakes that even experienced researchers often make – that is, what makes a truly terrible talk. 

We also highlight good practice, with lots of hints and tips and practical advice for presenting your research orally to any audience and giving a really terrific one.
