Uni Mental Health Day 2024 - events online and on campus
We’ve teamed up with Oxfordshire Mind and Brookes Union to organise a range of activities to mark Uni Mental Health Day on Thursday 14 March.
External online activities- 1.00pm to 2.00pm - attend a free session on When does anxiety become a problem?
- 1.00pm to 2.00pm - discover five easy ways to meditate. Use code UMHD to book your free place.
- 11.30am to 2.30pm - the Forum, John Henry Brookes Building (JHBB). Visit Oxfordshire Mind and Oxford Brookes’ Student Support Services to find out how the two teams can support you. Oxfordshire Mind will unveil its student-focused webpage and short-course programme, and you’ll have the chance to grab some freebies and snacks. Speak to volunteers with lived experience about peer support, leave a good thought on our Positivitree and join our conversation about wellbeing at Brookes - your thoughts and ideas are important to us
- 3.00pm to 4.30pm - Executive Suite (JHB128), JHBB. Join Oxfordshire Mind and Student Support Services to watch a selection of short film clips on the theme of anxiety. Resources to take away will be provided
- 5.30pm to 7.30pm - Brookes Union Meeting Room 1, JHBB, Headington Campus. From making relaxing pocket pillows to mindful drawing, enjoy a range of activities with a Self-care Carousel.
Uni Mental Health Day is an annual day to get the nation talking about student mental health and working together to make mental health a university-wide priority.
