Think Human Festival event: From hostility to dignity
Challenging current developments under the UK’s immigration policy and the environment for migrants and refugees’ for the Oxford Brookes Think Human Festival on 16 April 2024.
The Migration and Refugee Network is co-organsing an event titled ‘From hostility to dignity, challenging current developments under the UK’s immigration policy and the environment for migrants and refugees’ for the Oxford Brookes Think Human Festival on 16 April 2024.
The event aims to co-create a pro-active discussion, where we can develop a positive collective imagination about our role in the Oxford community and recentre a migrant and refugee positive ethos.
Reflections and debates will be heard from a range of voices from the Oxford area including politicians, members of the public, NGO practitioners, academics and other experts.
Two panel discussions will explore firstly, the work of local Oxford partners who are experts as NGO or charity workers and service providers to discuss the real-life issues they deal with in their work.
Second, solution-focused work on and around migration, asylum and the UK’s hostile environment from researchers from Oxford Brookes University Migration and Refugees Network and the University of Oxford.
