Reflective art workshop

The Children and Young People (CYP) network supported the Oxford Brookes 'Bazaar in the Community' by running an arts-based reflection/evaluation session on 12 July 2023 at the Rose Hill Junior Youth Club (RHJYC).

RHJYC provides free school youth club sessions for people aged 5-16 years living in Rose Hill (Oxford). The sessions aim to improve self-confidence, socialisation, and independence.

The Oxford Brookes 'Bazaar in the Community' takes Science Bazaar-style activities to children who might not otherwise be able to attend and is organised by the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Enterprise.

The 2023 RHJYC annual report comments that "the CYP session ran a creative workshop where children made their own art pieces and discussed with staff about what they liked about the youth club and the space. It was great to see so many children involved in drawing and using all of the wonderful craft materials. We hope to continue this wonderful partnership with OBU in the future!"
