Thesis title: Special Educational Needs in the children and families of Armed Forces Personnel; are they over-represented and why might this be the case?
Start year: 2021

Research topic
Throughout my 23year teaching career, I have always been interested in why some children find learning more difficult than their peers. As a Specialist Teacher, qualified to assess for literacy difficulties/dyslexia, my current research is around Armed Forces families and whether they are more likely to have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and if so, what type of SEN they are more likely to have and why this might be.
