“Studying at Oxford Brookes has definitely surpassed my expectations in every regards.”
How did your Pre-Master’s course prepare you for your degree?
The Pre-Master’s course equipped me with the skills required at masters level. Before joining the Pre-Master’s course I did not know how to do academic research and find good peer reviewed articles. Through the course, I learned the skills and techniques required and now I can confidently say I do not have any issues at master’s level finding good sources for my work. Had I not taken the Pre-Master’s course, I would have struggled at master’s level with referencing and understanding the different for-mats required to write different types of work such as statistical reports, research reports and mini dissertations. The Pre-Master’s also helped me boost my confidence because everyone’s opinion mattered and everyone was given a chance to express their views. We also had the opportunity to select subjects in the field we wanted to study at master’s level which gave us the flexibility and opportunity to build a good foundation.
