Dr. Tobechi Okoroafor is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Environmental Science and Engineering. He has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Newcastle University. His PhD research focused on the environmental and experimental evaluation of producing chemicals from CO2 using bioelectrochemical systems. He has published his research in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and has been a speaker at numerous international conferences.
Research
Dr. Tobechi Okoroafor is currently working on two European Commission funded projects, PowerSkin Plus and CUSTOM-ART within the architecture engineering research group. He is tasked with conducting life cycle assessment, techno-economic assessment and life cycle social assessment of the next generation and innovative façade solution based on smart integration of highly energy efficient components, including super-insulative elements, solar energy harvesting and active energy storage features for building applications.
