Research
Simon's research interests focus upon the changing paradigms of business and the development of economic and social welfare policies in a time of demographic and environmental flux. He is currently developing research projects around social enterprises and co-produced and co-delivered services. He has a strong focus upon the development of new operational mechanisms within public sector agencies which are designed to re-conceive the relationship between the state and citizen.

Simon is currently working on the following research projects:
- Exploration of the issues around scaling for French Co-operatives
- Differences in the sopcial construction of "social enterprise" within different economic eco-systems
- Issues facing self employed guide dog users in different European countries
