Dr. Ja Ryong Kim is a Senior Lecturer in Financial Accounting at Oxford Brookes Business School. His research focuses on the impact of technology, including artificial intelligence, on individuals, businesses, and society, as well as key areas such as climate change, corporate governance, and valuation. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the British Journal of Management (4*), Energy Economics (3*), Technological Forecasting and Social Change (3*), and the International Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation (3*).
Dr. Kim has successfully supervised seven PhD students, all of whom are now employed in academic positions. He is currently open to new PhD supervision opportunities.
Professionally, Dr. Kim is a CFA charterholder and an ACCA affiliate. He holds several board-level leadership roles, serving as a Senator and Chair of the People & Communities Committee at Co-op Group Limited, Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors at Britannia School of Academics, and a Trustee at LiFE Multi-Academy Trust.
