Role

Grace joined Oxford Brookes as Lecturer in Criminology in 2023. Prior to this, she held posts at the University of Southampton and the University of Luxembourg. She completed her PhD at the University of Bristol in 2020.

Grace holds expertise and interests in:
• Historical criminology
• Female offending
• Organised crime
• Non-lethal violent crime
• Social network analysis (criminal networks)

Supervision

Grace welcomes PhD applications in the areas of historical criminology and/or female offending. She is especially interested in projects on organised crime, violent crime, and/or criminal network analysis.

Research


Grace's research interests centre around historical criminology and female offending, with a particular focus on women's involvement in violent and/or organised crime in addition to women's experiences of recidivism and desistance. Grace also holds interests in social data science, with her work applying computational methods such as social network analysis to explore historical and contemporary criminal behaviours.
