Christopher Blake

Chris Blake is a champion of social and community enterprise. He was a founding director of The Green Valleys, supporting community responses to climate change that were joint winners of both NESTA’s Big Green Challenge in 2010, and the 2015 Ashden Award for work in community energy. He also leads the innovative Skyline programme of landscape-scale community land stewardship. 

For the last 5 years Chris has been a non-executive Director of Natural Resources Wales. 

Before moving to Wales in 2002 he had a successful career in the publishing and media industries and has experience as both a venture fund investment director and as a business angel. He has also lectured and written on entrepreneurship and the challenges of managing commercial and social enterprises in uncertain times.
