Role

Dr Carolyn Llewellyn is the Head of School for the School of Sport, Nutrition and Allied Health Professions, (SNAHP). This was formerly the Department of Sport Health Sciences and Social Work (SHSSW). Carolyn is the lead for Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Regulated Allied Health Professions Programmes within the University.

Prior to her role at Oxford Brookes, Carolyn held positions at the University of Hertfordshire and within the NHS as a clinician.

Carolyn is a Physiotherapist by background with a specialism in cardiorespiratory care. Her Doctoral research focused on the Black Student Experience of Higher Education. She continues to work with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) as an Education Consultant and also is an appointed Professional Committee member of the CSP. Carolyn represents the Oxford Brookes Allied Health Professions programmes at the Council of Deans for Health and at regional NHS/Education forums and boards.
Carolyn is also a co-director of BOING kids, and an appointed Governor within the Oxford Health NHS Trust.
