It's time for Clearing!

The best way to find out if studying at Oxford Brookes is right for you is to visit us in person at our Clearing Open Day in Swindon. Discover what makes studying at our Swindon Campus so unique and explore our specialist facilities. At this event, you will be able to:

  • Meet the staff who may be teaching you, as well as current students, and ask any questions you may have about your course.
  • Join our students on a guided campus tour, and find out first-hand what it’s like to study at Oxford Brookes Swindon Campus.

This event is for BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing and the Nursing Associate Higher Foundation at Oxford Brookes University's Swindon campus. If you're interested in studying Adult Nursing or another health and social care course at our Headington Campus in Oxford, please book on for our Clearing Open Day in Oxford.

Please note, this event is aimed towards those applying through Clearing. If you're interested in joining us for the 2025 entry, we encourage you to visit the campus during an autumn Open Day instead.

Event programme

At this event, you will be able to: 

  • Meet the staff who will be teaching you, as well as current students, and ask any questions you may have about your course.
  • Meet and speak to our Admissions, Finance and Student Support teams and ask any questions you may have about your application or offer.
  • Find your future home - explore our accommodation options and speak to our accommodation team.
  • Join our students on a guided campus tour, and find out first-hand what it’s like to study at Oxford Brookes.

Not all courses are available through Clearing. You should check our website for the latest updates on which courses are open to applications from 5 July.

Travel

Swindon

Parking

Parking is limited and chargeable. Please pre-book via uniopenday@brookes.ac.uk. Please do not park in other business car parks within the Delta 900 business park. 

If you are using a Satnav, please be aware that due to the location of the campus, the postcode of SN5 7XQ may take you past the entrance road. Visitors turning onto Welton Road from the B4006 will need to take the 2nd right and follow the road around to the left. Visitors turning onto Welton Road from the Westlea Drive, Stonehill Green and Bentham Close roundabout, will need to take the 1st left and follow the road around to the left.

 

Car

The campus is based in the Joel Joffe Building on the Delta Business Park, to the west of the town centre. If you are using a Satnav, please be aware that due to the location of the campus, the postcode of SN5 7XQ may take you past the entrance road.

Visitors turning onto Welton Road from the B4006 will need to take the 2nd right and follow the road around to the left.

Visitors turning onto Welton Road from the Westlea Drive, Stonehill Green and Bentham Close roundabout, will need to take the 1st left and follow the road around to the left.

Train

The nearest railway station to the site is Swindon located 3.3 km away. It is managed by First Great Western and provides frequent services to Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea, Bath, Didcot, Reading, London and Cheltenham Spa. The railway station is located 200 meters from the bus station, which means that Delta 900 has an excellent connection to the railway station.

Oxford Brookes Swindon Campus is approximately a 50 minute walk, 30 minute bus ride and about a 10 minute taxi ride away from Swindon station.

Coach

The nearest bus stop to Swindon Campus is located at Westlea Fire Station, about 10 minutes’ walk on the B4006. Both the 19/19A and 154 services operate from this stop towards the town centre. See more information on Swindon Bus timetables and route maps.

BrookesBus

There is no BROOKESbus in Swindon. However, there are other services that get you to our Swindon Campus.

The nearest bus stop to the site is located about 10 minutes walk from the site on Westlea Drive. A number of services use this stop. The 1/1A service between Fleming Way and the town centre operates with a 10 minutes frequency. In addition, the number 19 service operates a half hourly service. In total, 9 buses an hour provide a service from this stop to the town centre. Another bus stop is located on Paddington Drive, 900 metres east of the site.
