Overview
Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS) Stage 2 will provide the essential information needed for supporting social work students on placement. This will build on and consolidate the learning completed at Stage 1, and teaching will include:
- supporting students with the application of theories
- supervision models
- resilience
- self-efficacy
- scaffolding
- communities of practice.
Teaching will be aligned to the Practice Educator Professional Standards (BASW, 2022). PEPS students will be assessed through a 3000 word assignment, direct observation of practice and a portfolio of evidence.
How to apply
Entry requirements
You must:
- have completed PEPS 1
- have two years post qualifying social work experience
- be a registered social worker with Social Work England
- have an enhanced DBS for working with children and adults.

Fees quoted are for the first year only. If you are studying a course that lasts longer than one year your fees will increase each year.
How and when to pay
Tuition fee instalments for the semester are due by the Monday of week 1 of each semester. Students are not liable for full fees for that semester if they leave before week 4. If the leaving date is after week 4, full fees for the semester are payable.
