Overview

Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS) Stage 2 will provide the essential information needed for supporting social work students on placement. This will build on and consolidate the learning completed at Stage 1, and teaching will include:

  • supporting students with the application of theories
  • supervision models
  • resilience
  • self-efficacy
  • scaffolding
  • communities of practice.

Teaching will be aligned to the Practice Educator Professional Standards (BASW, 2022). PEPS students will be assessed through a 3000 word assignment, direct observation of practice and a portfolio of evidence.
