Overview

This Operational Management in Health and Social Care module aims to provide you with an opportunity to examine the way in which the Health and Social Care environment utilises and controls its functions and resources.

You'll examine the national and local strategic and policy framework and implementation mechanisms involved and reflect on how these operate in your setting. You'll seek to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness with which you operationalise national policy and enable its translation into organisational policy and strategy. You'll identify and assess the benefit you are able to derive for the end user in doing so.

You will be assessed 100% through coursework. This module can be taken as a standalone module of 200 hours of study over 12 weeks or as part of a programme of study.
