PRME – Oxford Brookes Business School student success

Every year Oxford Brookes Business School, on behalf of the PRME Chapter UK and Ireland, runs a Responsible Business and Management Writing Competition.

This year there has been a strong showing by Oxford Brookes Business School (OBBS) Marketing students, who have won the undergraduate third prize and made up three of the eight other finalists.

Announcing the 2022 results, Dr Jonathan Louw, Chapter Chair and Oxford Brookes competition organiser, applauded the winners, other finalists and all entrants on “the creative, thoughtful and often provocative ways in which they have addressed an impressive array of sustainability, responsibility and ethical challenges.”

Dr Louw added: “The committed contributions of this year’s 11 volunteer judges from 11 different universities whose investment of time and thought have led to a rigorous and fair judging process”. The undergraduate judging panel reported how impressed they were by the quality and diversity of the undergraduate submissions this year. Students addressed a wide range of highly relevant topics from ethical tourism to edible insects; sustainable fashion to responsible entrepreneurship.

The results for Oxford Brookes Business School were: Natasja Lowe (3rd Prize). Shortlisted were Sophie Hurst, Anna Schwinge and Chloe Spinks. Prize-winners’ and finalists’ work will be published on the chapter website in due course.

Congratulations to the students and our huge thanks go to Indroneel Chatterjee as Module Leader and his teaching team of Robin Robin, Kuldeep Banwait, Khan Taufique and Jacqui O'Rourke for their encouragement and support of the students in preparing their competition entries.
