Varsity returns to Oxford for an unmissable day of sport!

Varsity is back in Oxford this year as we take on the University of Reading in what promises to be an incredible day of competition.

Brookes is aiming for its 10th Varsity title in this 12th year of the competition. This year, only 1st Teams are competing, with just 28 points up for grabs, promising an intensely competitive day. Leading TEAMBrookes this year are our Varsity 2025 captains: Tristan from Men’s Rugby Union and Jess from Ultimate Frisbee.

The main day of Varsity action takes place on Saturday 29 March, with fixtures held across two key hubs in Oxford: Brookes Sport, Headington and Horspath, at Oxford Quins RFC and the Oxford City Athletics Track. Additional fixtures will be played at Bury Knowle Park, Studley Wood, Iffley Road and Blackbird Leys Pool.

The action kicks off at 9.00am in the Sports Hall at Brookes Sport, Headington, with Women’s Badminton and Men’s Volleyball and concludes at 9.00pm with Men’s Basketball.

Tickets and Spectating

Some fixtures require tickets (see below), which can be purchased via Eventbrite. We strongly recommend securing your tickets in advance, as they are expected to sell out. However, several sports are free to watch and Headington will be buzzing with atmosphere, with our friends from Red Bull bringing the vibes, the Sports Bar serving drinks and various food options.

Please note:

• Alcohol cannot be brought onto the site and is not permitted court or pitchside. 
• We encourage responsible drinking and respectful behaviour on the sidelines. 
• Flares are strictly prohibited. 
• Please dispose of litter in the bins provided to help keep the venues clean.

Getting There

There is no parking at Brookes Sport, Headington or Horspath, so please plan to use alternative transport options.
