We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Oxford UCCE, who secured victory in the BUCS Men's Cricket Outdoor Championship Final.

This victory marks the culmination of a remarkable season for the team, who had already clinched the Men's Premier (National) League title.

The iconic Lord's Cricket Ground, known as the “Home of Cricket,” served as the perfect backdrop for the final against Leeds/Bradford UCCE held on 2 July 2024. The match, initially scheduled as a 50-over game, was reduced to 41 overs per side due to weather delays during Oxford UCCE's innings. Leeds/Bradford UCCE won the toss and elected to field first.

Oxford UCCE put up a commendable score of 230 for 9 in their 41 overs, highlighted by a brilliant performance from Wajid Shah. Shah's outstanding 85 runs were pivotal in building a competitive total and earned him the Player of the Match award.

This win caps off a spectacular season for Oxford UCCE, demonstrating their excellence and consistency throughout the year.

As we celebrate this victory, Brookes Sport extends its congratulations to the entire Oxford UCCE team, including the players, coaching staff, support team, and supporters. We are extremely proud of their achievements.
