Download Brookes Sport App to Check In to Activities

This summer, we're excited to announce an upgrade to our check-in process at Brookes Sport.

With the new system, you will no longer need a physical Brookes Sport membership card or an activated Oxford Brookes ID card to access activity spaces. Instead, you'll use your smartphone to scan a QR code via the Brookes Sport App. Scanning the QR code will grant you access to the climbing wall and gym gates, provided you have the appropriate access rights and have booked a climbing session.

This update will only be happening at Brookes Sport Headington. You will still be required to use physical cards at our Harcourt Hill site. 

How to Use the QR Code Scanner

• Download the Brookes Sport App: Available on both Android or iOS
• Log into the App: Select any activity on the app and click "Book" you will then be prompted to login - please use the email address registered to your Brookes Sport account - if you do not remember your password, you can click on "Reset Password"
• Open the App: Click on "Activity Check-In" on the home screen
• Scan the QR Code: There will be QR codes at the entrances to the gym, climbing centre, sports hall, astro and studio 

We suggest signing into the app ahread of your visit. We have free WiFi available throughout our sport centres; the password is: HelloBrookes

Timeline for Enhancements

• From Thursday 11 July: QR entry point introduced at the gym gate - you can still use your membership card during this period
• Early August: QR entry point introduced at the climbing wall and membership card check-in will be disabled for gym and climb entry 
• Following Weeks: QR check-in points will be added at the entrance to the sports hall, astro, and studio

We will be collecting old membership cards for recycling. Please drop them off at the collection point at reception.

If you do not have a smartphone, you can check in at reception at the start of your bookings and our friendly team will assist you.
